Q. What is The AeroClinic and The AmeriClinic?
A. The AeroClinic is the convenient-health-smart-quick-care clinic that is airport-based for travelers and airport/airline workers in need of convenient minor ill-care and well-care treatment.

The AmeriClinic will offer the same convenient, health-smart services but in community settings such as grocery stores and retail pharmacies. Stay tuned for more information on The AmeriClinic openings in the future.

The company’s initial clinic launch and focus are airport-based clinics serving the traveling public as well as the thousands of airport/airline employees and their families.

Q. When should I use The AeroClinic services?
A. If you are a traveler, airport, airline or governmental employee in the airport, you can use The AeroClinic’s fast, convenient, and affordable treatment for routine medical conditions, or for easy, inexpensive access to health screenings, medical tests, immunizations (including flu and pneumonia shots). Prescription/pre-packaged pharmacy services are also available on-site in our clinics.

The AeroClinic provides:

  • Convenience
  • Quality
  • Affordability
  • Easy Access
  • Speed
  • Patient focus on individuals, families

And, for employees of our airline partners and other large employers, we also provide on-site occupational medicine services in a convenient, accessible setting to care for work-related injuries, pre-employment physicals, drug testing and other necessary work-related healthcare services.

Q. What is a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant?
A. The AeroClinic utilizes both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide our expert clinical services. All of our practitioners are dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality medical services.

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses with advanced academic and clinical experience. They are supervised by physicians in the administration of delivering care and may prescribe certain medications within state regulations. They provide diagnosis, treatment, health promotion, and disease prevention services that include screenings and well-care.

Physician Assistants (PAs) are nationally certified healthcare professionals who provide health services under the supervision of a physician. They provide well-care, physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, counsel on preventive care and in virtually all states, PAs can write prescriptions. Their education and training uniquely complements a physician’s training.

Q. Do you accept insurance?
A. Yes. The AeroClinic now accepts Aetna and is in active discussions with other major healthcare insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid. In the event your carrier is not covered within one of these groups, we will provide you with a properly formatted receipt that you may submit for reimbursement from your individual insurance carrier.

Q. Do I need an appointment at The AeroClinic?
A. No. Our services typically take about 15 minutes and patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. However, you may schedule appointments through our website or by calling ahead if you desire.

Q. Does The AeroClinic treat children?
A. Our services are available to those two years of age or older. Any patient under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Q. Can I see The AeroClinic for all healthcare services?
A. No. Our delivery is limited to a defined scope of services (click here to see description of services). We do not provide on-going care for chronic diseases and conditions and we encourage all individuals to establish a medical home in their community for ongoing health issues.

Q. How much do your services cost?
A. Our treatment is affordable with averages for acute care services ranging from $75 to $85. Other preventive healthcare services start as low as $10. See Services & Fees for a more in-depth description of services and pricing. Or you may call us at 1-866-914-AERO (2376).

Q. How do I access my screening and test results?
A. Some screening and test results are completed on-site and will be available immediately. Others may take a bit longer and will be available through your safe and secure, web-based Personal Healthcare Record. After your set-up using your unique username and password to access your labs, screenings and test results, simply go to our website at www.theaeroclinic.com and select “Access Your Personal Healthcare Record”. You will be prompted from there. You may also elect to receive your results by mail, which we are happy to accommodate as well.

Q. Will you communicate with my primary care provider?
A. Yes, with your approval. It is not our intention to replace your primary care provider (PCP), but to "fill in the gap" when you require minor ill-care and prevention services. We encourage all of our patients to establish a permanent medical home. Utilizing the industry’s most advanced information technology system from McKesson, our ability to communicate with you and your primary care provider is simple and seamless. Once your Personal Health Record is set up, we make it available to you electronically for your follow-up with your primary care physician (or other healthcare providers). It describes the details of your history with us as well as the results of any tests.

Q. I am an airport employee….can I utilize The AeroClinic services?
A. Absolutely! Our clinics provide a quick convenient means to get access to affordable minor ill-care and well care services for the thousands of employees who call the airport home each day. We also provide occupational medical services for our airline partners. These services include treatment of injuries, pre-employment testing, drug screening, physical therapy and more – all designed to get you back to work on the job happy and healthy.
